"Growing up in the City of Newburgh, I fully understand the challenges young people, especially young girls face; I was a young teenage mom at 19 years old. I recognize the importance for young girls to develop a love for their selves and build self-esteem. The value in programs like Girl Power is immeasurable because girls need to recognize their worth to them-selves, their families and communities. I am excited to be the Program Director for the Girl Power Program and look forward to an exciting and rewarding year".
